Instrument and Electrical Field Planner
The purpose of this role is to have someone experienced in Do Maintenance who has the skills and knowledge to create a job package from the work order scope.
The package contains all information about required labor, material, and services to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work.
This planner will focus primary on jobs that require repairs and preventative maintenance for Instrumentation and Electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities: Uses quality feedback from the Person Doing Work to optimize the archived plans. Reviews work orders for technical completeness, proper scope and returns work orders to gatekeeper if not complete.
Uses, where possible, an archived plan for basis of actual plan.
Completes field walks with support trades to ensure support scope is clear.
Prepare job package and input plan into SAP indicating the required resources, materials, services, and applicable documentation.
When materials availability has been confirmed, store job in active backlog.
Identify task activities necessary to execute job plan.
Identify materials/tools/equipment required to perform tasks.
Identify/solicit safety information and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks.
Record tasks/information within the work order.
Notify other crafts of their requirement to provide input to job plan verbal, communication sub .
Archive repetitive job plans.
Consider constructability and maintainability when developing plans.
Consider material costs when selecting materials from specifications.
Utilizes the Most Effective Technology where applicable.
Assists in troubleshooting and documenting failure analysis.
Assists in providing updates in order to prioritize and schedule effectively work through backlog look ahead meetings along with Scheduler, Work coordinator and Operations input.
Provides input to and participates in the procedure creation and review process.
Creates/develops/changes/updates job procedures and checklists.
Works within established Maintenance
Work Processes and helps resolve issues that surface as a result of planning and scheduling work.
Supports with actions identified.
Ensures that safety, health and environmental considerations and control measures to prevent contact or exposure for each job plan.
Capability in reading instrument / electrical drawings and schematics
Need to have at 3+ years of experience as an Instrument and/ or Electrical Technician to apply.
A mentor will be provided to the candidate upon hire to assist with technical development aspects of role SAP, Plan to Standard Tool, EMETL, WebEDMS, etc , however it is expected that the candidate is very self-motivated to deliver high-quality work.
