Job Title: Research Associate – In Vivo Pharmacology
Job Summary:
Our client is a pioneering biotech company focused on developing therapeutic solutions for neurological and cardiovascular diseases. As part of their expanding research team, they are seeking a Research Associate with strong in vivo pharmacology expertise to support early-stage drug development. This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and execution of preclinical studies, working closely with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Conduct in vivo pharmacology studies in rodent models for neurological and cardiovascular indications.
Support study design and execution for exploratory indications, tolerability, PK/PD, and therapeutic efficacy.
Perform hands-on procedures including rodent handling, dosing (oral, IV, IP, SC), blood and urine collection, necropsies, and tissue harvesting under IACUC and AAALAC guidelines.
Maintain accurate and regulatory-compliant records of all animal procedures.
Coordinate biological sample logistics including labeling, storage, and shipment to ensure integrity and compliance with study timelines.
Prepare surgical suites and equipment, ensuring aseptic conditions and proper instrument sterilization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including discovery scientists and in vivo researchers.
Draft and finalize study protocols and technical reports, ensuring scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: B.S. or M.S. in a life sciences field with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in preclinical research.
Experience:
Proficient in in vivo techniques across multiple animal models.
Skilled in dosing via various routes and sample collection.
Experienced in maintaining regulatory-compliant documentation and coordinating sample logistics.
Familiar with surgical suite preparation and aseptic techniques.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of lab equipment and procedures.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, GraphPad Prism, and ELN systems.
Soft Skills:
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Collaborative, motivated, and detail-oriented.
