Description

Electrician (Rittman, Ohio)
Immediate opening for a 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Monday–Friday; weekend OT as needed) Electrician with strong industrial maintenance skills, including machine repair, PLC troubleshooting/repair, and motor diagnostics/repair. Journeyman certification is strongly preferred, but candidates with 10+ years of highly relevant experience will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain electrical equipment, control systems, conduit, power transmission lines, substations, and generators up to 69kV.
  • Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of industrial machinery, including motors (installation, alignment, bearings), PLCs (diagnostics and repair), and both electronic and mechanical controls.
  • Maintain and repair industrial and building systems, including elevators, vibrators, and solid-state controls.
  • Interpret and work from complex blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics for modern industrial environments.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and cleaning of motors, power equipment, and machinery to minimize downtime and support production.
  • Ensure all work meets National Electric Code standards, while maintaining tools and equipment in proper working order and keeping work areas safe and organized.
  • Mentor and instruct less experienced team members as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Journeyman electrician certification or equivalent training/experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial maintenance, including machine repair, PLC troubleshooting/repair, and motor maintenance/repair.
  • Skilled in electrical troubleshooting, blueprint reading, equipment repair, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs., work in varying conditions, and use appropriate PPE.
Compensation:
  • $40.50/hour plus $0.60/hour shift differential
