Position Summary

The Inventory Control Coordinator supports the accuracy, organization, and traceability of Alltec's equipment, including rigging, lifting materials, fabrication components, and the rental fleet. This entry-level role is vital for maintaining compliant inventory records for spreader bars, hoists, slings, and hardware. You will ensure that all assets across rental, resale, and production operations meet strict internal and industry standards (ASME/OSHA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Perform regular counts and reconciliation of rigging gear, rental assets, and consumables across the shop and yard.

  • Receiving & Inspection: Assist with inbound shipments; verify quantities, inspect for damage, and confirm essential certifications (e.g., Load Test Certificates, MTRs) per ASME B30 standards.

  • Asset Traceability: Create and assign serial numbers; assist with tagging and stamping rental fleet assets (frames, hoists, slings) to ensure readiness for field deployment.

  • System Maintenance: Update asset statuses (on-rent, off-rent, repair) within the MS Access database to ensure real-time accuracy.

  • Quality Control: Audit "Pick Lists" after orders are gathered but before shipment to ensure 100% accuracy per company procedures.

  • Returns (Intake): Document returned equipment via visual checks and photography; immediately report discrepancies or Non-Conformance Report (NCR) conditions.

  • Yard & Shop Organization: Maintain a clean, segregated, and labeled storage environment in compliance with safety standards.

  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with Engineering and Production to ensure material availability for upcoming fabrication projects.

  • Documentation: Organize and maintain critical records, including MTR folders, load-test records, and equipment certification packets.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience: Prior warehouse, yard, or rigging experience is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.

  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of rigging hardware and material-handling practices is a plus. Ability to learn MS Access and ERP/asset-management software is essential.

  • Attributes: Strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and a commitment to safety compliance.

  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization (Operations, Engineering, and Purchasing).

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a shop/yard environment and wear required PPE in alignment with OSHA/ASME material-handling requirements.
