Grease Lube Lab Technician
DUPONT SCHEDULE - ROTATING SHIFTS
(Must be Local to Beaumont and Surrounding Area)

Responsibilities

Operational and Process Focus
Performs testing on raw materials, in process, finished product, packaging, and stability samples utilizing instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, AA, and ICP in accordance with approved SOP's and/or compendia.
Performs calibrations of lab instrumentation.
Alternately, or in conjunction with the above, may be involved with the maintenance and coordination of the commercial stability program.  This includes study initiations, sample pulling, preparation of data summary sheets, preparation of stability protocols, update of stability SOP's, and oversight of stability chambers.
Compliance Focus
Assists with training of other analysts as requested by Lab Facilitator.
Operates in accordance with all safety regulations.

Requirements

Associates or Bachelors Degree in science related discipline or at least two years or related experience degree
Must have one year work experience which requires high level of multi-tasking skills Must be able to understand and follow written procedures 
Must have a basic understanding of polymer tests, including melt index, density, and film appearance 
Must have a basic understanding of computer systems and networks 
Must have basic mechanical skills 
Must be able to work shift work 
Must be dependable and available for call-out and overtime work 
Must have good verbal and written communication skills, and be able to accurately record/ transcribe data 
Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision 
Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time 8 hours 
Must be able to lift/move cylinder s weighing approximately 5 to 15 lbs. 
Must be able to repair and maintain lab equipment 
Must have extensive knowledge of lab equipment and computer systems 
Must have knowledge of plant/site operations to optimize and prioritize special requirements 
Ability to obtain and interpret data of the analysis
