Join the Kelly® Professional & Industrial team as a Legal Assistant II with the Arizona Department of Economic Security (AZDES) – Office of Inspector General (OIG). This role supports legal operations in a secure government environment and offers the opportunity to contribute to important investigative and compliance work while gaining valuable public sector experience.

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85004
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract (4 months) with potential to convert to full-time
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Initially fully onsite; eligible for 1 day remote per week after training)

What's a typical day as a Legal Assistant II? You will:

Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and staff within the Office of Inspector General.
Prepare, format, and maintain legal documents, reports, and case files.
Use Google Suite and Microsoft Office to draft correspondence, track documentation, and manage records.
Manage multiple systems and digital platforms simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
Support document tracking, compliance processes, and file organization.
Coordinate meetings, schedules, and internal communications.
Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information.
Follow agency policies and security protocols within a government environment.
Assist with additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Ability to multitask across multiple systems and platforms.
Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail.
Professional communication skills and the ability to work with legal or compliance teams.
Ability to work onsite initially in Phoenix, AZ.
Ability to pass required security screening.
Local residency in the Phoenix area and availability for in-person interviews.

Preferred qualifications:

Legal education or legal administrative experience.
Experience supporting attorneys, investigators, or compliance teams.
Government or public sector experience.
