Maintenance Worker - Position: Machine Maintenance Technician Department: Service Reporting To: Service Manager Position Summary: The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing manufacturing equipment and shop machine tools to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems while minimizing downtime and supporting production continuity. Key Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repair of shop machinery and production equipment with minimal supervision Troubleshoot and repair complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics to diagnose and resolve equipment issues Identify required replacement parts and coordinate repairs Install new machinery and relocate existing equipment as needed Level, align, and calibrate machines using precision inspection instruments Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime Document maintenance activities by completing work requests and service records accurately Maintain safe and clean work areas and identify potential hazards Support emergency repairs, overtime assignments, and temporary shift changes as required Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and skilled trades Assist with additional operational tasks as needed Required Qualifications Experience: 5 10 years of experience in machine maintenance, industrial maintenance, or similar field Strong ability to read and interpret complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings and schematics Proficiency in using precision inspection equipment micrometers, dial indicators, electronic levels, alignment tools, etc. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required Technical training or apprenticeship preferred Preferred Qualifications Understanding of electrical circuits, motor controls, and schematics Experience with CNC machine tool maintenance is a plus Work Requirements: Willingness to work overtime, emergency call-ins, and alternate shifts as required Ability to support production schedules and maintenance priorities Other tasks as required Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and work in industrial environments for extended periods Ability to safely work around heavy machinery and equipment
