Job Level Description:

• This position is for an entry-level manufacturing engineer who designs, validates, and maintains tooling, fixtures, machine programs, profiling and other NPI related technical data and hardware, and ensures proper release to production personnel, while keeping all evidence in the assigned repository. Responsibility Statements
• Support SMT process engineers with thermal profiling, engineering units' control and storage.
• Lead and participate on required FAI validations across all manufacturing processes.
• Maintain good communication with other functional areas and proactively escalate any issue or risk.
• Support / lead Solumina tasks such as alterations, order notes or others as required.
• Identify process improvements opportunities, perform RRCA and constantly use CORE tools for daily work.
• Work closely with NPI QE identifying trending issues and providing corrective/preventive actions based on reworks, test yield, customer escapes and QNs data.
• Work with rework and repair instructions as required (NPI unit passing through NCM shall be reviewed by NPI ME)
• Submit FAI redlines and perform Solumina alterations for all units in WIP (future state should be done by NPI Technical Planning)
• Perform time studies as needed to ensure standard times are met through continuous improvement initiatives and mistake proofing.
• Provide support identifying alternate parts and procedures as required (for units in WIP)
• Add instructions to rework orders as required. This job description is intended but not limited to the tasks/responsibilities listed and may include additional duties and responsibilities as required by business needs.
Education/Certifications:
BS degree in Engineering with experience (Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical engineering preferred)
Available 1st and 2nd shift
Experience/Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience dealing with external customer; strong customer focus skills
Computer knowledge on Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word)
Excellent oral and written communication in English and Spanish
