Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Job Summary:

Hitachi Industrial Equipment & Solutions America LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis within the Industrial Components & Equipment Division. This position is responsible for various warehousing functions including processing of inbound and outbound shipments, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced setting and works well independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive inbound shipments; verify shipment condition and quantity against Bill of Lading.

  • Open and inspect incoming materials to match vendor packing lists; report any discrepancies or damages.

  • Enter received materials into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and properly store items as directed.

  • Process outbound shipments; verify and pick materials according to sales requests and enter data into WMS.

  • Prepare materials for shipment, generate shipping documents, and coordinate with carriers for pick-up.

  • Assist with returns, restocking, and warranty-related product handling as directed by supervisors.

  • Support efforts to continuously improve warehouse operations and implement updated procedures.

  • Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.

  • Monitor and report on equipment condition and warehouse supply levels.

  • Prepare for and participate in inventory counts and scheduled cycle counts.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and secure warehouse environment daily.

  • Support other warehouse-related tasks as assigned, including handling of IJP and inverter products.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of general warehouse experience.

  • Strong understanding of shipping and packing procedures, including palletizing and load securing.

  • Highly organized with great attention to detail and accuracy in inventory handling.

  • Experience following diverse shipping protocols (e.g., truck, air, UPS, FedEx).

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment in compliance with safety standards.

  • Familiarity with WMS and MES systems; basic computer skills including email usage.

  • Certification in material handling preferred; may be required to handle specific materials (e.g., inks, greases).

  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
