Kelly Services is looking for a Material Handler in Philadelphia!
As a Material Handler, you will assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment. Receives, unpacks, inspects, and stores incoming materials and supplies. Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation.
Monday - Friday 5:00am-5:00pm (weekly overtime)
- Packages, bands, and stretch wraps all outgoing shipment according to CCT procedures and customer requirements
- Weigh material after production to ensure it meets the standard requirement
- Loads and unloads trucks & slitters
- Daily organization of adhesive storage room and raw material warehouse
- Operate a Forklift and machinery throughout shift
- Operate tier lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving to platform to storage or work areas
- Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping procedures, policies and practices and consistently work in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems
- Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals
- Participate and share in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility
- Completion of any specific projects assigned
- Other duties as needed/required to meet company goals
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, trade school, or combination of training and experience
- 3+ years of relevant manufacturing Material Handler experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to work overtime, including short-notice requests
- Motivated, takes initiative, and possesses a strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask within a structured environment
- Extraordinary organization skills, strong time management skills, and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to follow electrical schematics and drawings
- Possess the highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail in a dynamic, multitasking environment
- Capacity to work with limited supervision, independently, and as a team member
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
