Kelly® is seeking a Material Handler II to work at a premier manufacturing client in Tewksbury, MA.
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
Shift: 1st
What's a typical day as Material Handler II? You'll be:
- Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials against purchase orders and packing documentation.
- Picking, packing, staging, and shipping materials per work orders and customer requirements.
- Preparing domestic and international shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Generating and reviewing export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Submitting Electronic Export Information filings through AES and processing export entries via ACE.
- Ensuring compliance with U.S. export regulations (EAR) and other applicable trade regulations.
- Validating HTS/Schedule B classifications and coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers.
- Performing ERP/WMS inventory and shipping transactions, conducting cycle counts, and assisting with inventory reconciliation.
- Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment as certified and maintaining organized records.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Bring 2+ years of warehouse, material handling, or shipping experience.
- Possess experience with international shipping and export documentation.
- Are knowledgeable in AES filings, ACE portal processes, and ERP/WMS systems.
- Understand inventory control practices and can lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment.
- Hold or can obtain forklift certification.
- (Preferred) Have knowledge of Incoterms, hazardous materials shipping certification (IATA, IMDG, or DOT), and experience in a regulated manufacturing or distribution environment.
- (Preferred) Have a basic understanding of trade compliance and customs regulations.
