We're seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to work at a premier manufacturing facility in Garland, TX. Sound good? Take a closer look below. Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

$22.00 per hour

Shift: 5am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday OR 3:30pm-2:00am Monday-Friday

Shift: Work long hours and call-ins as needed. Willing and able to work long hours and off-shift.

What's a typical day as Mechanical Maintenance Technician? You'll be:
  • Performing maintenance and sanitation duties on the production line following Standard Operating Procedures and supervisor direction.
  • Disassembling, reassembling, and setting up production filling equipment using hand tools.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing plant equipment including fillers, pumps, tanks, valves, cappers, and conveyors.
  • Conducting preventive maintenance and logging work in the CMMS.
  • Cleaning equipment after maintenance tasks and using appropriate safety equipment.
  • Performing carpentry tasks, painting, and minor building repairs as needed.
  • Operating scissor lifts and forklifts for facility maintenance tasks.
  • Working safely and in compliance with all safety, health, and environmental guidelines.
  • Cooperating with production personnel and supervisors to ensure high-quality production.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (trade/technical school training preferred).
  • Bring 1-2 years of mechanical and maintenance experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Possess knowledge of Lockout/Tagout, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems, and welding (MIG/TIG).
  • Are familiar with preventative maintenance routines and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Can read and interpret schematics, equipment manuals, and safety regulations in English.
  • Are able to operate forklifts and scissor lifts.
  • Are comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and using hand and power tools.
  • Have basic math skills and good communication abilities.
  • Are willing and able to work long hours and off-shift as needed.
