We're seeking a Medical Claims Coordinator to work with us at Team Vision/Luxottica in Bronx, NY.

  • Opportunity to play a key role in maximizing claim collection for multiple doctor practices

What's a typical day as a Medical Claims Coordinator? You'll be:
  • Reviewing and transmitting medical claims to insurance carriers using EHR and clearing house systems

  • Monitoring rejected claims and making adjustments for resubmission

  • Downloading EOBs to post claim payments and denials in the EHR system

  • Investigating denials, researching open balances, and ensuring timely resubmissions

  • Partnering with the clearing house to issue patient billing statements and manage payments

  • Initiating refunds and repayments when necessary

  • Writing off open claim balances and serving as the practice's point of contact for medical claims

  • Supporting the corporate manager in maximizing claim collection rates

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • A high school diploma

  • 3+ years of related work experience

  • Experience with medical vision claims and coding

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)

It would be great, but not required, if you also have:
  • Experience working in multiple doctor practices

  • Familiarity with multiple insurance carriers and their claim requirements

  • Proven ability to identify issues and resolve problems independently

Additional Details:
  • Location: Bronx, NY

  • Employment Type: Contract through January 31, 2026 (possible extensions)

  • Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

  • Pay Rate: $18.40/hr 

  • Must be 18+ years old and pass standard screenings
