Now Hiring: Sample Control & Document Administrator
Location: On-site New Britain, CT 
Pay Rate: $24–$26/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Job Type: Temporary Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sample Control & Document Administrator to support our laboratory operations. This role is responsible for managing both hard copy and electronic records associated with sample tracking, ensuring all documentation complies with state regulations and internal procedures.
You will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy of records in BioTrack, Connecticut's seed-to-sale cannabis tracking system, and ensuring timely completion of tasks related to sample receiving, documentation, and reporting. This is a full-time, onsite role with the potential to transition to permanent for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and process paperwork for incoming samples (e.g., Chain of Custody forms, Manifests).
  • Maintain organized hard copy and electronic records for all sample-related documentation.
  • Monitor and update BioTrack to ensure accurate tracking of cannabis products from seed to sale.
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally.
  • Create and send invoices to clients in a timely manner.
  • Manage office supply ordering and inventory tracking.
  • Open Metrc support tickets as needed.
  • Monitor the work order dashboard; finalize documentation for completed work.
  • Support the Director of Business Operations with administrative tasks and projects.
  • Release Certificates of Analysis (COAs) upon final review and approval.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a regulated or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and general office software.
  • Familiarity with BioTrack or other compliance tracking systems preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must follow all Connecticut Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) regulations and company policies.
  • This role involves handling confidential documentation and requires a high level of integrity.
  • Ideal for candidates with experience in highly regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or cannabis.
