Kelly Engineering is hiring a Packaging Engineer for a well-established global company in the pharmaceutical and consumer self-care industry. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity based on performance and business needs.

In this hybrid role (3 days/week onsite), you'll support packaging development for personal care and Women's Health products—working cross-functionally with marketing, R&D, project managers, and external suppliers. You'll lead packaging initiatives from concept through execution, developing smart, sustainable packaging solutions that meet both consumer and manufacturing demands.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and test new packaging formats, with a heavy focus on line trials and documentation
  • Manage relationships with vendors and contract manufacturers to ensure timely delivery and component quality
  • Create and update packaging specifications, drawings, and die lines using tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ArtiosCAD
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, R&D, and project managers to align packaging with product and brand goals
  • Support packaging tooling development and execution (e.g., thermoform, heat seal)
  • Ensure packaging meets regulatory, quality, and sustainability requirements

Why This Role Is Unique:

  • Direct involvement in line trials, mock-ups, distribution testing, and IQ/OQ/PQ validation
  • Opportunity to join a growing team where cross-functional collaboration and innovation are key to success

Who We're Looking For:

  • BS or MS in Packaging or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 2+ years of packaging experience (or less with a Master's degree)
  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials, tooling, and production processes
  • Skilled in packaging software (TOPS, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
  • Familiar with ASTM/ISTA testing, FMEA, DOE, and process validation
  • Experience in cosmetics or medical device packaging is a plus

Contract to Hire Details:

This role starts as a contract and may convert to a full-time position based on performance and business needs.
