Kelly Science is seeking a Part Time Analytical HPLC Chemist for a growing start-up located near Philadelphia, PA.

This position will be a part time position requiring 16 hours per week. Days/times can be flexible but need to be during standard business hours.

Employment Type: Part time; contract

Summary:
The Analytical Chemist will focus on characterization of various oncolytic virus candidates by utilizing analytical HPLC instrumentation.

Job duties include:

  • Operating HPLC instruments to evaluate viral gene therapy vector preparations.
  • Preparing buffer solutions and anion-exchange columns for HPLC.
  • Analyzing, documenting, and reporting laboratory data in accordance with company SOPs.
  • Troubleshooting HPLC instrumentation when needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry or a related scientific field.
  • Strong experience with HPLC is required. Ability to independently execute and troubleshoot HPLC instrumentation required.  Preferred experience with Agilent 1260 infinity II system.
  • Strong experience with Open Lab software strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with viral gene therapy vectors strongly preferred.
