Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support pilot plant operations in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Working closely with scientists, engineers, and production teams, you will operate and maintain complex process equipment, assist with scale-up trials, and implement best practices to achieve quality and productivity targets. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates passionate about process engineering, mechanical maintenance, and continuous improvement in a thriving manufacturing environment.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of chemical process operations and equipment, including reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and instrumentation
  • Experience with lab-scale to pilot-scale process scale-up and experimentation support
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for process equipment maintenance
  • Effective communication skills for reporting observations and collaborating with team members
  • Adherence to safety protocols and strong commitment to workplace safety standards
  • Capable of maintaining detailed experimental and operational records accurately

Nice to Have Skills

  • Prior experience working in a pilot plant or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of process safety management and hazard analysis procedures
  • Familiarity with SOP development and process documentation
  • Ability to operate manual and automated processing equipment efficiently
  • Basic proficiency with fabrication, minor repairs, and parts procurement

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering technology or related field
  • 2+ years of experience supporting process operations in a manufacturing or pilot plant setting

Other Requirements

  • Flexibility to work overtime and alternate shifts as needed
  • Willingness to assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Must adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards to maintain a safe working environment
