Kelly Services is currently looking to hire a Process Engineer to work on contract for one of our top Medical Device clients on-site in Wilmington, MA. This is an exciting contract opportunity for anyone looking to be a part of a professional and welcoming team.

The Process Engineer will provide engineering and project management support to drive the continual improvement, optimization, and sustainability of manufacturing process operations.


  • Provide strong engineering understanding on continual improvement teams, developing process methods, designing/sourcing equipment, conducting feasibility/developmental trials, executing validation requirements, drafting documents/specifications/drawings, and providing on-the-job training to ensure the effective transfer/start-up of new/refined products/processes.
  • Manage equipment and process validations, including creation of the protocol, identification of test requirements, analysis and presentation of results, and creation of the final report, in accordance with internal procedures and external regulations.
  • Provide engineering support to all Manufacturing groups to ensure that production requirements are satisfied.
  • Prepare presentations and reports, as appropriate, to communicate status of engineering projects, progress towards goals and objectives, future opportunities, and current risks/alternatives to senior management.


  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Mechanical or Process Engineering.
  • 3+ years experience in a sustaining engineering position, ideally within a medical device company.
  • Expertise in validation, Lean Manufacturing Principles, and process improvement.
  • Good understanding of GMP/ISO requirements pertaining to manufacturing operations.
  • Good oral/written communication, project management, and organization skills required.


  • Bachelor's in other technical disciplines may be considered in conjunction with relevant job experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
