Production Supervisor – Afternoon Shift
Location: Richer, Manitoba (On-site)
Kelly Services has partnered with a well-established manufacturing organization in Southeast Manitoba to recruit a Production Supervisor for a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.
This is a fully on-site, hands-on leadership role, ideal for a supervisor with experience leading a unionized production team. The successful candidate will report to the Plant Supervisor and will work the afternoon shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Your Role at a Glance
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production operations while leading, coaching, and developing a young and motivated team. You will ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate production staff in their daily activities
- Execute and monitor the established production plan to meet operational goals
- Train, coach, and support team members to enhance performance and engagement
- Ensure quality control standards are maintained from raw materials through finished products
- Enforce health, safety, and operational policies and procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate closely with other production teams to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience supervising or managing a production team
- College diploma or bachelor's degree in Production Management, Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field (considered an asset)
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proactive, goal-oriented, and hands-on leadership style
