Production Supervisor (B Shift – Direct Hire)
Location: Rochester/Gates, NY area (Off Elmgrove Road)
Pay: $70,000 – $80,000 per year (Based on experience)

- B Shift: Monday through Thursday & Sunday 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced B Shift Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations on the manufacturing floor in a light manufacturing environment. This role will serve as a key liaison between production teams and operations management, ensuring quality and productivity targets are consistently met. The Production Supervisor will lead by example, coach team members, and maintain a safe and collaborative work environment.
What You Will Do
- Facilitate clear communication across all levels of the organization
- Ensure production targets are achieved while managing labor and meeting service level agreements
- Train and mentor production staff while ensuring compliance with quality and maintenance procedures
- Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Coach production leads, providing feedback and fostering employee development
- Establish accountability standards and conduct regular performance assessments
- Collaborate with management to identify workflow issues and implement process improvements
- Verify accurate timekeeping and adherence to leave policies
- Demonstrate flexibility to meet production demands, including overtime as needed
What You Will Need to Be Successful
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment
- High school diploma or GED; additional education or professional development a plus
- Experience in print bindery is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook
- Ability to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Experience training employees across multiple teams or departments
- Proven ability to address employee concerns tactfully and effectively
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with integrity, accountability, and a team-oriented mindset
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a moderately loud environment
- Ability to perform physical tasks including twisting, turning, and bending throughout the shift
- Good vision for detail and color accuracy
