Description

Kelly Engineering is currently seeking a Project Engineer for one of our Global Clients based in Rock Hill, SC. This is an immediate 3-6 month contract position.  



Responsibilities 


Create and maintain project schedules and Gantt charts. 
Coordinate and support New Product Introduction NPI activities. 
Provide quotations on estimated tooling costs, mold designs, and layouts.
Write purchase orders for molds and other tooling. 
Review and approve customer drawings and mold designs in collaboration with other engineers. 
Interface with customers regarding quality concerns and fabrication timelines. 
Work closely with Rock Hill tooling and mold shops to achieve the goal of zero rework. 
Maintain engineering files, including quotes, POs, designs, and revisions. 
Create and maintain SOP/OMS documentation. Utilize AutoCAD and Solid Works for rubber mold design. 
Coordinate the design phase of precision rubber molds for various molding techniques. 
Work with Process Technicians to review and revise processes to increase efficiency. 
Operate manufacturing equipment, including presses and metrological inspection systems. 
Lead or participate in conference calls and meetings with customers. 
Engage in Continual Improvement team activities and prepare ROI calculations. 
Support and meet ISO 9001 and 13485 standards and adhere to sound manufacturing principles. 
Provide timely engineering support for molds, dies, automation, vision, and accessory equipment. 
Maintain knowledge of quality systems and work on other quality and efficiency improvement projects. 

Required Skills 
2 years of experience working an Manufacturing environment
Experience with MS Project or similar project management tools. 
Experience with AutoCAD and Solid Works. 
Strong communication and presentation skills. 
Experience with CRM systems. 
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience. 
Knowledge of GD&T. 
Strong mathematical skills. 
Basic understanding of computer hardware and Microsoft Office Software. 
Commitment to safety and knowledge of safety procedures.
