Exciting Opportunity: Project Manager – Scientific & Laboratory Operations

Shift: M-F | normal weekday hours
Pay: $25/hour
Key Responsibilities:

  • In combination with the Laboratory Director, manage assigned LIMS implementation initiatives and LIMS troubleshooting issues.
  • Assure the proper analyses are performed in a timely fashion to meet the stated goals of both the company and our customers.
  • Serves as the direct, in-house liaison for the technical sales representative (TSR).
  • Data review and final report review: Monitor report writing and data input for accuracy and completion.
  • Be able to perform all administrative tasks regarding sampling data log-in, disposition and report generation and writing.
  • Completes special projects at the request of the Laboratory Director or the Vice President.
  • Manage the PSA process at the laboratory.
  • Analyze samples submitted to the laboratory for the presence of microbiological contamination, meeting quality control requirements.
  • Properly calibrates or sterilizes all analytical equipment before beginning tests and documents this work.
  • Records temperatures and analytical data in laboratory notebooks.


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Life Science discipline preferred. For microbiology work: degree in life science with at least 4 credit hours in a microbiology class.
  • Previous project management experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience working in LIMS is highly desirable as well as data review, administrative capabilities, and ability to work cross functionally.
  • Microbiology work requires 1 year experience in microbiological analysis.
