QC Laboratory Assistant
Pharmaceutical

Schedule: Monday-Thursday; 10-hour
Hourly Pay: $20
Contract-to-Hire

The QC Laboratory Assistant is responsible for the administrative and logistical backbone of the Quality Control and R&D laboratories. This role ensures that supplies are stocked, records are meticulous, and the lab environment remains compliant with safety and organizational standards.
Procurement & Inventory Management

  • Ordering: Manage the procurement of laboratory supplies, manufacturing consumables, and office supplies. This includes contacting suppliers for pricing and product information.
  • PO Systems: Utilize the Ross System to create Purchase Orders for consumables, repairs, service contracts, and equipment calibrations.
  • Receiving: Retrieve shipments from the warehouse, verify contents against orders, apply appropriate labels, and coordinate storage or delivery to analysts.
Compliance & Record Keeping
  • Documentation: Gather, review, and maintain vital laboratory records, including Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Quality Checks: Conduct daily monitoring of refrigerators and freezers.
  • Expiry Management: Perform monthly audits of standards, reagents, chemicals, and equipment calibration. Apply "Do Not Use" stickers to expired items.
  • Information Flow: Scan/email documents for management and oversee the issuance and maintenance of Laboratory Notebooks.
Logistics & Support
  • External Testing: Package samples for outside laboratory testing, prepare shipping documentation, and file submission forms.
  • General Support: Perform other related administrative or laboratory tasks as assigned by management.
Education & Experience
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED or Associate degree in related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 3 to 6 months of related experience or specialized training is highly preferred.
