Kelly Science has an immediate opening for a Quality Control Technician for our growing client near Chicago, IL

Full-time
Hours: Mon-Thurs 4pm-2am
Pay: $21/hr

Are you detail-oriented and passionate about quality? We're looking for a dedicated Quality Control Technician to be an essential part of our production team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ensuring every product meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.

What You'll Do:
  • Start each shift by procuring cost sheets and QC standard samples for all products scheduled in your area, across all shifts.

  • Verify accuracy of preprinted and labeled cartons before production, checking labels against current revisions and specifications.

  • Inspect incoming components, recording results and ensuring everything meets production standards.

  • Conduct hourly line checks and approve results, immediately alerting supervisors of any non-conforming issues.

  • Perform precise testing during line startup and throughout production, including spray rate, evacuation, and pressure tests on gasser heads.

  • Take and verify retain samples against QC standards and record findings in SAP QM Inspection lots.

  • Check chemical purity after scheduled breaks and ensure compliance with all timing requirements listed on cost sheets.

  • Conduct thorough audits of finished pallets, verifying cleanliness, label application, packaging integrity, correct components, and compliance with military standards.

  • Approve finished products by applying QC stickers and complete all necessary customer documentation.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while strictly following company safety protocols.

What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum High School Diploma.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for 8-12 hours.

  • Strong math skills to perform manufacturer specification calculations.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.

  • Good communication skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to work well with coworkers and supervisors in a collaborative environment.

  • Basic computer skills are a plus (experience with GC or SAP a bonus).
