Pay: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

- 2nd Shift: Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM
About the Role:
Kelly Services is partnering with a well-established food manufacturing facility in the Macedon, NY area to hire a Quality Assurance Analyst for a direct hire opportunity. This role is critical in ensuring finished products, in-process materials, and production environments meet all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
The QA Analyst performs analytical testing, supports food safety programs, and partners closely with production and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement and compliance.
What You Will Do
- Perform pre-operational inspections to ensure production readiness
- Conduct perfect package checks on applicable production lines and report issues to QA leadership
- Verify food safety preventive controls are in place and functioning properly
- Support and educate team members on food safety responsibilities and good manufacturing practices
- Perform analytical testing using approved laboratory methods and techniques
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
- Perform microbiological and environmental swabbing as required
- Place non-conforming products on hold and partner with leadership to investigate root cause and determine product impact
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of production lines and process flows to troubleshoot quality and production issues
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, rework, and inefficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform internal audits of facility processes and quality programs
- Act as a backup to Quality Technicians as needed
What You Will Need to Be Successful
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Three to five years of quality assurance experience in a regulated manufacturing environment such as food or pharmaceutical manufacturing is strongly preferred
- HACCP training is strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, including writing reports and documentation
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to fluently read, write, and communicate in English as required by SQF regulations
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset
