Quality Engineer
Location: Texarkana, TX
Direct Hire 
Salary - 90k - 100k+ Depending on experience
Relocation assistance available

Position Summary: 

  • Quality Engineers develop, monitor and improve the inspection and testing methods that are used to identify product defects and problems within the process.
  • Principal Responsibilities:
  • Develops and submits technical plans and procedures that address inspection and testing required by product specifications and drawings and comply with customer and internal guidelines.
  • Evaluates methods used to sample, test and inspect products and champions process improvements.
  • Analyzes inspection and testing data to identify areas that require improvement.
  • Analyzes inspection and testing data to investigate the cause of defective products.
  • Develops and submits associated corrective and preventative action documents and failure analysis reports.
  • Evaluates raw materials, processes, machinery and equipment as potential causes of defective products.

  • Participates in continual improvement projects to increase productivity and reduce or eliminate scrap and rework.

  • Supervisor of Testing, Quality Auditor, Quality Technician, Supervisor of Configuration Management
  • List this Position s Direct Reports Positions Supervised: Quality Clerk, Quality Assessor Feeder or Source Positions
  • Strong technical writing skills, including proper use of grammar, sentence structure, spelling, capitalization, punctuation and formatting.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge of precision test and measuring equipment and its proper handling, storage and use.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills that will support training and development of other employees.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Outlook and Project. Minitab and AutoCAD skills desired.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete projects on time or ahead of schedule.
  • Education: BS in Engineering or related field. BS in Mechanical Engineering
