Position Summary:
Under general supervision, performs and documents technical functions relating to design, fabrication, modification, and assembly of prototype electrophysiology catheters and/or their components. Technician will perform basic electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical duties, as well as inspect, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, and systems.

Pay Rate: $33-$34 Hourly (depending on skills assessment test)

Location: Irvine, CA
Job Responsibilities/ Requirements:
- Under general supervision builds prototype devices based off engineering sketches, drawings, verbal instruction and/or written instructions.
- Excellent hand dexterity required due to working with small catheter components such as wires, electrodes and other small catheter components.
- Experienced and capable of soldering wire to PCBs using microscope.
- Performs and documents complex repairs, testing, maintenance, fabrication, inspection, and calibration of components, test apparatus, and associated specific discipline equipment.
- Conducts training of manufacturing personnel and other technicians.
- Sets up, adjusts and operates laboratory/manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoots electrical, mechanical systems, components, and equipment.
- Assists engineers in specific discipline by problem solving and making design recommendations based on product knowledge.
- Performs self-inspections of own work.
- When applicable, follows standard operating procedures for all tasks.
- Maintains clean and orderly work area.
- Responsible for completing all appropriate safety and environmental hazard training.
- Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Responsibilities:
- Ability to use test and measurement equipment associated with specific discipline.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation associated with specific discipline.
- Ability to read, to write, to communicate, and understand English.
- Must be able to successfully complete company/department training courses.
- Ability to use PC's and associated software.
- Ability to learn regulatory (GMP) requirements.
