Description

We are seeking a Railcar Production Manager for our client located in Angleton, TX 77515 ! 

Salary: 65k plus depending on experience 
Schedule: Mon- Sat 5am-4:30pm
Job type: Direct Hire -Perm Placement

Requirements:

•    Minimum 7 years of experience in tank car or railcar repair, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
•    In-depth knowledge of AAR and FRA regulations governing tank car repair and qualification.
•    Proven ability to manage and motivate teams in an industrial or heavy manufacturing setting.
•    Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational demands as needed.
•    High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in welding or mechanical systems preferred.


Job Description: 
•  
 Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities in accordance with safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
•    Lead and mentor a team of skilled technicians and welders, ensuring proper training and development.
•    Monitor production schedules, workflows, and resource allocation to meet turnaround timelines.
•    Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with AAR, FRA, and company standards.
•    Collaborate with quality assurance and safety teams to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
•    Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
•    Provide input on hiring, staffing levels, and employee performance evaluations.
•    Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure documentation is up to regulatory standards.
