What's a typical day as a Safety Coordinator? You'll be:
  • Leading by example to promote high safety standards and practices.
  • Supporting team members by providing safety training, updates, and maintaining high standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with plant rules, safety regulations, and environmental procedures.
  • Keeping documentation for the Lock Tag Try (LTT) program up to date.
  • Writing Job Hazard Analyses (JHA's) and Standard Work documents; training others on these practices.
  • Communicating safety concerns and equipment issues promptly to relevant personnel.
  • Participating in safety, quality, Autonomous Maintenance (AM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
  • Supporting colleagues' training and development and adapting to changing priorities as needed.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (required).
  • Are at least 18 years old and can remain drug free.
  • Are flexible with your work schedule, including the possibility of overtime or rotating shifts.
  • Have prior manufacturing experience.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Display a positive work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Are able to communicate effectively in English (read, write, speak, understand).
  • Can train others in safety and environmental tasks and foster compliance with standards.
  • Can work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Are able to work in extreme temperatures and noisy environments while wearing the required PPE.
