Job Title: Scanner Operator (Clerk I)
Reports To: Production Manager
Location: Farmington CT 06032
Shift: 8:30am-4:30pm
Compensation: $18/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary (1-month project with potential for extension)

  Position Summary
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Scanner Operator (Clerk I). The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, scanning, and processing documents using digital imaging equipment. This role requires a high level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow precise procedures. Key Responsibilities

  • Remove files from boxes and prepare documents for scanning by removing staples, smoothing pages, and ensuring proper orientation
  • Operate scanning equipment to digitize physical documents in accordance with job order specifications
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and workstations
  • Follow project-specific standard operating procedures and instructions
  • Ensure quality control by reviewing scanned images for clarity, completeness, and accuracy
  • Maintain communication with team members, supervisors, and occasionally clients to ensure expectations are met
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and report technical issues to supervisor immediately
  • Track and report low inventory levels of materials and supplies
  • Assist in other departments or tasks as directed by the supervisor
  • Attend company meetings or training sessions as required
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in document scanning, imaging, or clerical support preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Comfortable working in a production environment
  • Capable of standing for long periods and handling repetitive tasks
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with scanning software a plus
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player
Work Environment

  • Possibility of future assignments depending on project availability
