Position Overview:
As a Shipping & Receiving Team Member, you'll play a key role in the smooth daily operation of our site by efficiently and accurately handling incoming and outgoing shipments. This essential role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely shipments, and keeping our warehouse facilities clean, safe, and organized. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, a dedication to safety, and the reliability to keep things running in a busy environment. This is an on-site, full-time position, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices
  • Load, unload, sort, and organize incoming freight with care and accuracy
  • Prepare, pack, and label outgoing shipments according to company and carrier requirements
  • Coordinate with carriers and shipping companies to schedule pickups and deliveries
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update logs and databases as needed
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (if applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company procedures
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse, yard, and production areas
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Maintain a clean, orderly shipping and receiving area
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to resolve shipping or inventory discrepancies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks (including standing, bending, lifting)
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and efficiency
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proven organizational and communication skills
  • Forklift operation experience (indoor/outdoor; propane preferred)
  • Safety steel/composite-toed shoes required
