Description

Kelly Services is hiring a Structural Mechanic II to work with Gulfstream, a leading aircraft manufacturer, at GAC Tulsa in Tulsa, OK (74117). This role offers hands-on aerospace experience with a stable, full-time schedule.

Pay: $25.66/hour

Schedule: Full-time, 1st shift 5:00 am – 3:30 pm

Contract: 48 months

Key responsibilities:

  • Safely perform assembly and fitting of structural parts, drilling, riveting, and sheet metal installation.

  • Rivet structural assemblies using portable and pneumatic tools; remove fasteners without damaging parts.

  • Read work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequences, rivet patterns, and part assembly.

  • Align and assemble parts using jigs, clamps, pins, and fasteners according to blueprint specifications.

  • Make repairs and perform rework per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Requests (MRR), and Production Change Orders (PCO).

  • Maintain accurate logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs, Crabs).

  • Maintain a neat and safe work area in compliance with the company 5S program and all safety regulations.

  • Collect and dispose of waste fluids, de-icing materials, and solvent rags.

  • Support lean initiatives and assist in maintaining shop equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum 2 years of related structural assembly experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Basic computer skills and basic shop math.

  • Strong attention to detail, hands-on aptitude, and ability to work in a team.

  • Good housekeeping and safety practices.

  • Ability to work with composite resins and materials.

  • Must be able to climb ladders/stands/stairs, work in confined spaces, and lift 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
