$25/hr
Position Summary:
The Team Leader oversees a designated manufacturing area, coaching operators, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, productivity, LEAN practices, and supporting continuous improvement. Responsible for coordinating production flow, addressing inefficiencies, and ensuring proper training.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Enforce safety policies including PPE, LO/TO, JHAs.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, TS/IATF 16949.
- Oversee cell production: productivity, quality, packaging, shipping.
- Complete set ups and support tooling clean/prep.
- Troubleshoot process, equipment, and quality issues.
- Coordinate schedule, labor assignments, and equipment availability.
- Ensure accurate scrap/downtime reporting and process documentation.
- Train operators to required competency levels and maintain training logs.
- Ensure work instructions and control documentation are current and followed.
- Support changeovers, TPM tasks, and sample builds.
- Promote Lean tools: 6S, TPM, FIFO, waste elimination.
- Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering to resolve issues.
- Participate in CI projects, audits, DOEs, capability studies.
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior manufacturing experience required; automotive strongly preferred.
- 1-3 years Leadership/Team Lead experience required.
- Technical training (e.g., equipment certifications) beneficial.
- Blue Print reading required
Work Environment/Work Conditions:
- Manufacturing floor exposure requiring PPE, including safety shoes and eye protection.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Operation of production equipment, adjustments, tooling handling.
