Position Summary
Thales is seeking a Test Technician III to perform advanced testing and troubleshooting of electronic systems and components. This role requires expertise in reading complex schematics, diagnosing failures down to the component level, and using sophisticated test instrumentation to ensure product quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume full responsibility for testing activities for one or more product lines.
  • Adapt to different testing levels, from PCBA to LRU.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to ensure products meet acceptance test criteria.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, and instructions to perform testing and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct operational tests and fault isolation to verify product specifications.
  • Diagnose and isolate failures down to the component level.
  • Collect and maintain pass/fail data using MRP-SAP for traceability; generate quality notifications for failures and corrections.
  • Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized apparatus.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble units as required.
  • Perform in-process and final verification of products and associated documentation.
  • Assist Test Engineers in setting up test stations and maintaining burn-in racks.
  • Use company resources (MRP-SAP, Chorus 2.0, Team Center) to verify documents and procedures.
  • Ensure calibration and certification of test equipment and tools.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by following Lean and 5S principles.
  • Provide assistance across production lines, warehouse, and assembly as needed.
Minimum Requirements
  • One-year certificate from a technical school in Electronic Technology or related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience as an Electronic Test Technician in manufacturing/production.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and schematics for troubleshooting.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with PCs and related test software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical issue reporting.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Electronic Technology or related field.
  • Experience with MRP analysis and ERP systems; SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Background in programming automated test equipment is highly desirable.
  • Avionics experience is a plus.
Additional Details
  • On-site position.
  • Pay: $26.00/hour.
  • Start time: 5:00 AM PT; overtime expected.
