Job Title: Assembly Specialist – Assistant Operator (C Shift)
Location: Statesville, NC
Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift Details:

  • 1st Shift: 7:45 AM – 8:00 PM | $16/hour

  • 2nd Shift: 7:45 PM – 8:00 AM | $18/hour

  • Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotating Shift (Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, then rotate)

  • Pay Schedule: Weekly, every Friday

About the Role: Seeking dependable, safety-conscious individuals to join our manufacturing team as Assistant Operators on C Shift. The Assembly Specialist will support daily production by assisting with material handling, machine startups, and product quality checks. This hands-on role is ideal for those who enjoy active work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with opportunities to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and empty 55 lb resin bags into mixers using a breakaway knife

  • Assist with material handling by lifting bags from pallets (automation coming soon)

  • Support machine operators during startups and transitions

  • Perform vacuum filter changes as needed

  • Move product rolls (up to 50 lbs) from machines to packing line

  • Feed edge trim from rolls into waste hopper

  • Accurately record weights and measurements in the computer system

  • Weigh and document scrap material

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following safety and sanitation procedures

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs regularly

  • Willingness to perform physical labor and stand for long periods

  • Basic computer and data entry skills

  • Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience a plus, but not required

Workplace Requirements:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided (safety glasses, hearing protection)

  • Slip-resistant steel or composite toe footwear required

  • Dress code: Clean jeans and t-shirts; no jewelry; shorts not permitted

  •  100% tobacco-free campus—no smoking or tobacco use on-site or during work hours
