Job Title: Data Entry Specialist (in a warehouse environment)
Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM (8 hours daily + break)
Location: Colonial Heights, VA 23834
Duration: 6-9 months
Pay Rate: $16/hour
 
Job Overview:
The Data Entry Specialist will support accurate and efficient entry of information from patient medical records and other documentation using Microsoft Excel. This role is based in a warehouse environment that is not temperature-controlled and involves clerical and light physical tasks.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Enter and update data with precision using Microsoft Excel and electronic databases
• Conduct routine quality checks to ensure data accuracy and make necessary corrections
• Organize and maintain documents
• Support the scanning, indexing, and digital archiving of physical records
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet project goals and deadlines
• Handle physical materials as needed, including moving boxes from pallets to workstations (requires occasional bending, reaching, and lifting up to 35 pounds)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–2 years of experience in data entry or clerical roles preferred
• Experience in typing and performing data entry tasks with speed and accuracy
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word
• Ability to lift, push, and move boxes weighing up to 35 pounds as needed
• Comfortable with physical tasks such as overhead reaching, bending, and manual handling
• Willingness to work in a warehouse environment that may not be temperature-controlled

•            Prior experience with document scanning and indexing is a plus
