Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Division of Rheumatology is seeking an APP to join our team.
This full-time, outpatient position will provide opportunities to learn the practice of rheumatology in an outpatient setting, caring for patients with a breadth of autoimmune diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, osteoporosis and more. Experience with rheumatology is a plus, however successful candidates will receive on-the-job training to allow for proficiency in this area of medicine. New graduates are encouraged to apply, though preference will be given to those candidates with experience. APPs will not be expected to see new patients. Patients who are new to the APP will be seen in 40-minute slots and returns in 20-minute slots. APPs are expected to see 8-10 patients per half day.
Responsibilities will include:
- Completing self-guided educational experiences to lay the foundation of rheumatologic knowledge.
- Attending lectures designed to enhance rheumatology expertise.
- Co-managing a patient panel with a medical doctor and assisting with in-basket management for this patient panel.
- Documenting in a clear manner that will enhance the co-management of the patient with the MD.
- Participate in quality improvement and research projects.
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $130,000 - $160,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
