Overview

B2B payment flows present a significant growth opportunity for Mastercard in Brazil. The Director, SME B2B Partnerships will be responsible for building and expanding relationships with strategic ecosystem players – including ERP providers, procurement platforms, and other technology enablers - to embed Mastercard payment capabilities into corporate payment processes. This role will focus on identifying partnership opportunities, negotiating agreements, and ensuring successful implementation to drive adoption and expand card usage in non-traditional payment flows.

Role

In this role, the selected candidate will:

Lead the identification, development, and management of strategic partnerships to enable Mastercard solutions in commercial/SME payment processes

Engage with ERP providers, procurement platforms, and other B2B technology partners to integrate card-based payment capabilities

Negotiate commercial agreements and define value propositions that meet the needs of all stakeholders

Drive business development efforts in collaboration with partners and issuing institutions

Oversee the implementation of embedded payment solutions, ensuring they meet performance and adoption targets

Monitor partnership performance, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion

Stay current on B2B payment trends, competitive offerings, and technology innovations

Work closely with internal teams, such as Products, Sales, Pricing, Finance, and Customer Delivery, to align and execute



All About You

The ideal candidate for this position should:

Have significant experience in B2B payments, enterprise software partnerships, and commercial payment solutions with a proven ability to structure and execute strategic alliances

Demonstrate strong relationship management and negotiation skills, with experience engaging technology providers and financial institutions

Understand the economics and operational requirements of embedding payment capabilities into business platforms

Be results-oriented, with the ability to turn partnership opportunities into measurable business outcomes

Possess strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to address market challenges and seize growth opportunities

Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

Communicate effectively in Portuguese and English, both verbally and in writing.

Hold a bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM field but not necessarily required; advanced education (MBA or equivalent) is preferred
