Title and Summary

Director, B2B Marketing Overview:
The North America Director of Product Marketing is responsible for supporting our product and solutions strategy and overseeing its execution in the US market. This role requires a leader with strong business acumen, excellent relationship skills, and extensive performance marketing experience. The ideal candidate will develop consistent and compelling product narratives and design and implement product marketing strategies and tactics to drive awareness, acquisition and use while supporting our sales and product functions. This includes the creation and use of end-to-end go-to-market plans, channel marketing, events, lead generation, B2B2C tactics, and social media strategies.
We are looking for an innovative leader that is ahead of industry and is an early adopter of growing trends and new technologies like AI models, system to system marketing, among others. A leader that is curious and understands how to use these trends to shape and transform our B2B Marketing approach.
Role:
The North America Director of Product Marketing will own the regional strategy, design and execution of marketing initiatives for a core set of Mastercard's B2B products.
This person will be responsible for developing and iterating a comprehensive and compelling set of product narratives, designing and prioritizing the strategies and tactics that support and amplify that narrative, and executing those for brand awareness, engagement, lead generation and acquisition.
The execution of this role will include understanding and implementing a full funnel marketing strategy, driving awareness, consideration and conversion with an Omni-channel approach using upper, mid and lower funnel channels such as, but not only, above-the line media, marketing with and through partners and customers, tentpole events and sponsorship integration, digital campaigns, and sales enablement.
In execution, this person will need to develop and manage cross-functional relationships within the Integrated Marketing Communications Department – including global and regional B2B Marketing, Communications, Sponsorship and Consumer Marketing teams – while managing agency relationships and respective budgets.
In addition, this person will work closely with and support internal stakeholders such as the respective product teams and business development and account management organizations on developing product messaging and sales enablement.
This position reports to the US VP of B2B and Product Marketing.
Skills and Qualifications:
Leadership and Experience:
• 8+ years of relevant marketing experience, including 3+ years of people leadership.
• Proven record of building and fostering relationships across the organization, identifying key stakeholders, and influencing key decision-makers.
• Experience managing agencies and third-party vendors.
Industry Knowledge:
• Experience in payments, fintech, SaaS, or enterprise B2B performance marketing preferred.
• Understanding of the product P&L and key performance metrics to enable the development of ROI-based marketing strategies and the prioritization of investments across tactics and products.
• Understanding of the product lifecycle, and how to use the appropriate marketing strategies throughout it, is a must.
Analytical and Strategic Skills:
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to transform data insights into strategies and make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to leverage audience segmentation, personalization, and journey mapping to enhance engagement.
• Translate marketing outcomes into business metrics (pipeline, deal velocity, revenue impact) and be fluent in performance ROI
• Experience with AI and Predictive models, Performance Analytics & Reporting.
Marketing and Communication:
• Performance and Channel Marketing experience is a must, including understanding full-funnel marketing, lead generation, acquisition, cross-sell, and retention campaigns.
• Juggle multiple product owners, prioritize competing asks, and balance both top and bottom funnel needs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including large group presentations.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Support sales enablement initiatives with content tailored to account needs.
Technical Skills:
• Hands-on experience with CRM (Salesforce) and marketing automation (Marketo, HubSpot).
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage and follow through on multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.
