Title and Summary
Director, Enterprise Data Quality Engagement The Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ) team within the AI and Data Office is responsible for defining and driving Mastercard's enterprise data quality strategy and improvement programs. The team ensures that data across the ecosystem is fit for purpose, trusted, and production ready to support critical business, analytics, and AI use cases.As Director, Enterprise Data Quality Engagement, you will serve as the regional AP lead for data quality engagement and remediation prioritisation, acting as a senior interface between regional stakeholders, global product and technology teams, and enterprise data governance functions.
You will help shape where and how data quality investments are prioritised, ensuring remediation efforts align to business impact, regulatory needs, and AI readiness across the region.This role plays a critical part in scaling data quality improvements globally by translating regional needs into clear priorities, driving alignment across teams, and ensuring remediation efforts are focused where they matter most.
You are also accountable for regional leadership, prioritisation, and orchestration of data quality initiatives across Asia Pacific, while influencing global remediation roadmaps and enterprise DQ strategy.
You will operate as a senior utility leader, supporting stakeholders across product, technology, customer support, and account teams, helping them understand data quality requirements, escalate systemic issues, and drive sustainable improvements at the source.
This role does not rely on direct authority. Instead, success is driven through executive communication, influence, and cross functional alignment, ensuring data quality remediation efforts are targeted, coordinated, and outcome driven.
[Key Responsibilities]
Regional Leadership & Prioritisation
• Act as the AP regional lead for Enterprise Data Quality engagement, representing regional needs, risks, and priorities into global DQ forums and remediation planning and manage and support data quality improvement and remediation program activities for AP.
• Partner with global EDQ, product, and technology teams to prioritise data quality remediation work based on regional business impact, regulatory sensitivity, and AI/analytics readiness.
• Support the Enterprise Data Quality lead and AP Regional Data and AI Strategy lead by enabling business teams to drive shared ownership of data quality outcomes.
• Lead a structured regional DQ engagement and intake model, ensuring issues are identified early, triaged consistently, and addressed at the source.
• Work closely with CTS, CAPS, Customer Success, and related teams to drive customer outreach, education, and compliance on data quality expectations.
Enterprise Coordination & Resilience
• Coordinate cross functional planning for data quality initiatives across product, technology, and governance teams to avoid fragmented or duplicative efforts.
• Own and maintain the Data Quality and Sourcing team Business Continuity Plan, including bi annual reviews and alignment with enterprise resilience standards.
[Communication & Alignment]
• Lead regional awareness and change management for data quality initiatives, ensuring consistent understanding of standards, expectations, and remediation pathways.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on data quality risks, trade offs, and remediation options.
• Provide clear, executive level updates on data quality posture, emerging risks, and progress against remediation priorities.

Must have
• Proven experience operating at a director or senior leader level, influencing outcomes across multiple teams without direct authority.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with demonstrated success partnering across product, technology, customer, and governance functions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems, data quality challenges, and how data issues impact business performance, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Experience working with regional and global teams, balancing local priorities with enterprise level objectives.
• Ability to define structure, prioritisation, and clarity in complex, fast moving environments.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to assess trade offs and focus remediation on highest impact issues.
Preferred
• Experience with data quality, data governance, data retention, or data management programs in large, complex organisations.
• Familiarity with Mastercard platforms, products, and customer engagement models.
• Experience supporting regulated or risk sensitive data environments.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping organisations move from reactive issue management to proactive, scalable solutions.
