Director -Financial Planning and Analysis-Americas Overview:Mastercard is a global technology company in the payments industry. Role:
1. Americas expense forecast:
Support the Forecasting Process for Americas - working closely with Regional Finance and Corporate Finance to deliver accurate forecast on a timely basis:
• Prepare, coordinate and consolidate monthly operating expenses for all cost centers/business units
• Ensure numbers are correctly loaded in the management system (Hyperion)
• Coordinate, review and consolidate quarterly forecast from the regions (Workdays 5 to 8)
• Support FP&A leaders with ad-hoc analysis during forecasting process
• Interact with regional Finance to ensure expense targets for all regions
• Be the owner of operating expense (A&M, GO&A) forecast and budget for Americas
2. Americas Monthly Closing:
Support the full monthly closing process:
• Monitor and report actual to forecast performance during the month-end close (Workdays 2,3,4)
• Identify and analyze monthly variances between forecast and actuals
• Communicate and interact with Regional Finance to gather explanations on variances
• Provide monthly results for various internal customers
• Prepare ad hoc reports to Senior Management on a monthly basis
3. Other responsibilities:
• Prepare Regional President quarterly scorecard through Country Managers and Business Owners
• Assist with preparation and consolidation of the Annual Operating Plan (Budget) for Americas regions.
• Assist with yearly Planning Process, as liaison with other Corporate areas.
• Assist with preparation of Strategic Funds requests aligned to Strategy team and Regional leaders.

Skills required:
• Strong knowledge of the principles, theories and concepts of financial management
• Dynamic, financial analyst type used to work in a fast-paced environment and with tight deadlines. Good understanding of foreign exchange impacts in the regions
• Proven skills communicating and negotiating across organizational areas.
• Highly motivated team player. Be constantly on top of things in a proactive way.
Experience Required:
Experience in FP&A and/or similar business or financial analytical experience
Strong abilities in Microsoft Office suite products, Hyperion a plus
Multifunctional Project Management experience a plus
Payments industry experience a plus
Expenses management experience a plus
Education: Bachelor's Degree in relevant field. MBA a plus.
