Title and Summary

Director, Specialist Sales, Consumer Solutions Overview

The Customer Solutions Center (CSC) is Mastercard's NEW strategic structure designed to accelerate the development of market relevant solutions and bundled value propositions for prioritized customer segments. Operating across Eastern Europe, the CSC combines deep product expertise with strong customer engagement to deliver scalable, high impact solutions that drive revenue growth and market share expansion.

The Consumer Director, CIS Cluster plays a critical role in shaping Mastercard's consumer product strategy and ensuring end to end execution of key initiatives across debit, credit and premium product lines. This role acts as the strategic bridge between Mastercard's global/regional product teams, local account teams, and external stakeholders—including major issuers, fintech partners, vendors, and government entities, end to end execution of key initiatives across credit, debit, and premium product lines. The position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, outstanding business judgment, deep knowledge of consumer payments, and the ability to execute multiple strategic initiatives in parallel within a complex matrix structure.

Key Responsibilities

* Strategic Product Leadership

* Drive the development and execution of Mastercard's core consumer product strategy across the CIS cluster.

* Define and deliver value propositions for key consumer segments across debit, credit, and premium portfolios.

* Ensure Mastercard products are effectively positioned within issuers' product strategies.

End to End Project Execution

* Lead cross functional project delivery, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality targets are met, functional project delivery, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality targets are met.

* Coordinate all relevant stakeholders, including Product, Pricing & Interchange, Account Management, Services, and external partners.

* Drive implementation of strategic initiatives (e.g., new premium strategy rollout, new debit value proposition, customer-specific pilots).

Customer Engagement & Business Development

* Partner with Account Managers and customer leadership teams to identify and execute opportunities that grow both Mastercard and customer revenues.

* Provide consulting-style advisory on consumer portfolio optimization and product best practices.

* Actively participate in customer planning cycles and strategic account reviews.

Market & Opportunity Assessment

* Continuously monitor market dynamics, regulatory developments, and competitive activity in the CIS region.

* Analyse & identify new business opportunities and assess their feasibility, financial impact, and alignment with Mastercard strategy.

* Conduct market research to understand consumer and issuer needs.

Internal Collaboration & Innovation

* Engage with global and regional product development teams to bring new product ideas and innovation opportunities from the field.

* Support vendor management and third party partner engagements to ensure high-quality delivery of solutions.

External Representation

* Represent Mastercard at industry forums, conferences, and customer events.

* Advocate for Mastercard's consumer solutions vision and serve as an ambassador for product excellence in the region.

Qualifications & Experience

* Extensive experience in financial services, payments, technology, or consulting.

* Deep knowledge of card issuing, consumer products, and payment technologies.

* Strong business development track record, ideally in multi-market environments.

* Proven experience in managing complex projects, ideally across multiple stakeholders and geographies.

* Strong operational and/or technical background in financial services.

* Experience and established network within the Fintech ecosystem is a strong advantage.

* Deep understanding of CIS markets and Mastercard's consumer product suite.

* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage senior executives.

* Strong negotiation and influencing skills at all organizational levels.

* Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and business case development capabilities.

* Strategic thinker with strong business judgment and problem-solving skills.

* Self-starter with the ability to drive initiatives independently and through cross-functional teams.

* Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.

* Fluent in English, Russian, and Kazakh (native).

* Willingness to travel extensively.

Education

* BS/BA required; MBA preferred.
