QA Engineer Senior Software Quality Engineer

Overview
Cyber Quant is a data-driven cyber risk platform that continuously analyzes an organization's security posture against real-world threat intelligence. By integrating with existing security controls, ingesting contextual business data, and automating risk modeling, the platform delivers precise, actionable insights that help organizations prioritize threats, quantify their potential business impact, reduce risk, and measure the effectiveness of mitigation strategies.
Role
The Cyber Quant team is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to drive the development of robust testing solutions across the product suite. This is a hands-on role focused on designing effective testing strategies for a complex environment — a SaaS platform with on-prem components, security integrations, a high-performance calculation engine, and a continuously evolving user experience.
You'll play a key part in shaping our quality practices, bringing a mindset of continuous improvement and innovation. We're looking for someone who challenges the status quo, explores smarter ways to test, and helps reduce defects at every stage — from development through to production.

As a QA Engineer, you will:
• Build and execute manual testing plans
• Own end-to-end testing plans including but not limited to, Load testing, UI Testing, REST endpoint testing
• Manually test UI components within the design system
• Validate implemented components against Figma designs for visual accuracy and layout consistency
• Manage and coordinate large testing and release efforts with continuous delivery
• Prepare the infrastructure for automated testing
• Ensure intuitive user experience
• Participate in version planning and processes, working alongside other engineers, product teams, and architects.
• Innovate on testing tools, quality, and team processes
• Document bugs, inconsistencies, and accessibility issues.

All About You
• 5+ years hands-on experience in building out QA programs
• Willingness to initially work through manual process and to guide, design and develop automated QA processes
• Prior experience building and executing test plans with a focus on exploratory testing techniques
• Self-learn approach and ability to understand complex systems including: processes, products integrations, Interfaces, and technical architecture
• Experience with SQL, SQL Server development, .Net, C#
• Experience in automations is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot systems to identify the root cause of issues
• Willingness and ability to quickly learn and take on new challenging opportunities
• Demonstrate Mastercard Core Competencies – trust, partnership, initiative, and agility
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
• Detail-oriented and organized, but with a high degree of flexibility while working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
• Ability to understand and align program and processes to corporate policies and standards
• Worked on one or more Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms
• Experience in .Net, C#, SQL Server development
• Experience across various scripting tools and languages
• Excellent communication skills
