Overview
The Mastercard Direct Services team (“MCDS”) is the dynamic B2B sales arm of Mastercard, committed to nurturing and developing business with high-potential customers across the European region & beyond. Our approach is to develop small customers, size does not matter for us, we grow prospects and transfer mature, prepared and healthy partners to the local offices.

MCDS is part of Market Development Europe which is the engine of European growth by winning in non-traditional segments while anticipating and shaping European market transformation. There are 5 domains to deliver this: Merchants and Commerce, Digital Partners, Public Sector, Mastercard Direct Services and Mastercard Processing (MPE). These domains provide diversification, huge growth opportunities and ensure we continue to adapt our business model to new realities. We work closely with the Division and Country presidents, Account Management, Product, Business and Acceptance Development, and other functions.
MCDS are looking for Senior Analyst, Account Management, location: Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria or Netherlands. This role will report directly into the Director, NE and UK&I Cluster and is responsible for driving Core Payments, Commercial & New Payments Flow, Services and brand preference.

Role
You will be responsible for developing and growing business with Mastercard partners in the assigned geography within two divisions: UK & Ireland (UK&I) and Northern Europe & Baltic (N&B). You will lead the MCDS on-boarding pipeline and management of partnerships, delivering on strategic and operational targets to the MCDS team.

Key Responsibilities
• Independently manage and grow a portfolio of Mastercard partners, acting as a primary point of contact and driving day to day relationship and commercial activities.
• Lead opportunity development by identifying growth areas, conducting structured market and customer analysis, shaping value propositions
• Drive the sales and onboarding pipeline end to end for your accounts, ensuring accurate pipeline management, proactive escalation of blockers, and smooth coordination across internal functions.
• Lead commercial deal execution, preparing and refining commercial proposals, coordinating documentation flows, aligning with Legal, Product, Advisors, and Finance teams, and ensuring timely closure.
• Develop and deliver high quality customer facing materials, including business reviews, strategic updates, and tailored presentations, with strong storytelling and analytical clarity.
• Contribute to financial planning activities by preparing forecasts, supporting budgeting cycles, and providing data driven insights on portfolio performance and growth drivers.
• Build and maintain business cases and financial models for prioritized opportunities, handling full ownership of medium complexity analyses and contributing to evaluation of larger strategic initiatives.
• Monitor customer performance and market dynamics, synthesizing insights, identifying risks and opportunities, and making recommendations to senior account managers and leadership.
• Drive cross functional collaboration, ensuring alignment across Product, Advisors, Acceptance, Finance, Legal, and regional market teams to deliver on customer needs and support execution excellence.
• Track, analyze, and report key KPIs related to pipeline health, portfolio performance, customer activity, and strategic initiatives, providing regular updates to leadership.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers on Mastercard solutions, guiding them through options and helping shape partnership discussions that support long term growth.
About You:

• Well organized, reliable, and comfortable supporting projects and task coordination.
• Financial understanding, with experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Familiar with Salesforce or similar CRM tools (or able to learn quickly).
• Interest in business development and foundational understanding of the payments/financial industry.
Fluent in English; additional European language skills are an advantage.

Travel: Some degree of travel anticipated.
