Overview

The Corporate Sustainability team oversees Mastercard's impact strategy. In partnership with Mastercard's businesses, risk functions and operational teams, the Sustainability team drives the company's governance and reporting of environmental, social and governance matters; sustainability strategy and business integration; and stakeholder engagement including community impact and volunteerism.

The Corporate Sustainability organization is looking for a Senior Analyst, Sustainability Reporting to support Mastercard's environmental, social and governance impact reporting including its annual Impact Report, ESG ratings and rankings, responses to customer information requests, and internal management reporting. The Senior Analyst, Sustainability Reporting will report to the Vice President for Sustainability Governance, Enterprise Impact Management and Reporting, and work alongside team members to address the information needs of a diverse set of stakeholders and advance the company's reputation as a leader in sustainability.

Role:

• Working closely with the Manager, Sustainability Reporting, support the development and production of Mastercard's annual Impact Report, coordinating with content providers across business units and external resources.
• Execute reporting control processes, including content substantiation, report tie-out, and internal certifications within critical timelines.
• Support internal audit readiness, including development and management of impact reporting procedures and documentation.
• Develop Mastercard's response to key ESG ratings, rankings, surveys and customer RFPs.
• Perform gap analyses and benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvements in our impact reporting, and support alignment with sustainability reporting best practices.

All About You:

• Experience in reporting and analysis of financial and/or non-financial metrics. Experience with internal controls and audit readiness is a plus.
• Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and methodologies including GRI, ISSB, SASB and UN SDGs
• Experience in responding to ESG rating/ranking agencies including MSCI, ISS, Sustainalytics, EcoVadis, CDP, S&P Global / DJSI, JUST Capital
• Experience managing projects
• Ability and interest in becoming highly proficient with the Workiva reporting platform. Existing knowledge of Workiva is a plus.
• Experience producing annual reports a plus
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills – to both technical and non-technical audiences – and interpersonal skills with emphasis on building strong, long-term relationships worldwide across varying geographies and functions
• Detail oriented, self-motivated with the ability to meet project deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
