Title and Summary

Senior Data Quality Analyst Job Summary :

As the Data Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for leading data quality assessments, driving root cause analysis, and defining data standards across key systems. This role acts as a bridge between technical data teams and business stakeholders, ensuring data meets the needs of internal and external users.

Key Responsibilities:
* Define and implement data quality rules, processes, and KPIs to monitor the health of enterprise data assets.
* Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify inconsistencies, duplicates, and anomalies.
* Collaborate with data stewards, engineers, and business teams to resolve data issues at the source.
* Design and maintain data quality dashboards and reporting mechanisms for tracking progress and impact.
* Lead root cause analysis efforts for recurring data quality problems and recommend process or system improvements.
* Establish and promote best practices and standards in data quality and data governance.
* Support data migration, transformation, and integration projects by ensuring data quality controls are in place.
* Train and mentor junior analysts and team members on tools, methodologies, and data quality frameworks.
* Partner with data governance teams to ensure alignment with company-wide data management policies.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in data quality, data analysis, or data governance roles.
* Proven expertise in data quality tools (e.g., GEX, Informatica Data Quality, Talend, Ataccama, Trillium, etc.).
* Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with data profiling and validation.
* Familiarity with cloud-based data environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data warehousing concepts.
* Experience working with large, complex datasets and translating business needs into data quality rules.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and master data management (MDM). In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
