Title and Summary
Senior Software Engineer - GO 1) OverviewAs a member of the Software Defined Networking Operations team, you will own and deliver the code to bring our Operations group to the next level. As a "militantly automated" team, we work in Source Control and let pipelines drive our work. We believe in configuration modeling and defining standards via automation so the tooling can do the heavy lifting for us. You will participate on a high performing team that designs, builds, and runs world-class and leading-edge networking technology on many exciting platforms. As a member of the SDN Ops team, you will be building internal-facing tools to improve our tooling and increase our efficiency to support our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Tool Development: Build and maintain internal tools that automate network operations, improve observability, and streamline workflows.
Infrastructure as Code: Model configurations and enforce standards through code, enabling consistent and repeatable deployments.
Pipeline-Driven Engineering: Leverage CI/CD pipelines to manage code delivery, testing, and deployment.
SDN Integration: Work with SDN controllers and APIs to abstract and automate network provisioning, policy enforcement, and lifecycle management.
Collaboration: Partner with network engineers, architects, and other software teams to align tooling with operational needs and business goals.
Mentorship: Mentor engineers on the Operations team and act as the team expert in all things software engineering.
2) Role
You will design, build, and maintain internal-facing tools that support the SDN Operations team's mission to deliver scalable, resilient, and automated networking solutions. The team operates with a “militantly automated” philosophy—favoring pipelines, source control, and configuration modeling over manual processes. Your work will directly impact how networking infrastructure is provisioned, monitored, and managed across platforms.
3) All about You/Experience

Experience with React (preferred): Familiarity with building intuitive and responsive user interfaces using React to support internal tooling and dashboards.
Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar for modeling and managing network configurations.
CI/CD & DevOps: Deep understanding of pipeline-driven development using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Networking Concepts: Solid grasp of networking fundamentals
Version Control: Strong Git skills and experience working in collaborative, source-controlled environments.
Soft Skills & Mindset
Automation-First Mentality: Committed to reducing manual effort through automation and scripting.
Collaborative: Works well in cross-functional teams, especially with network/software engineers and operations staff.
Problem Solver: Able to break down complex operational challenges and deliver elegant, maintainable software solutions.
Customer-Focused: Understands the internal customer's needs and builds tools that improve their workflows and efficiency.
Continuous Learner: Stays current with emerging technologies in networking, automation, and software development.
