Role:
The Senior Software Engineer, Workday Integrations (Payroll), will be a hands-on contributor responsible for the successful delivery and support of Workday integration solutions, with a strong emphasis on Payroll. In this role, you will:

• Own integration configuration, technical design, and error-handling frameworks to ensure consistency across global, multi-entity payroll environments.
• Build, test, and deploy integration business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, and data transformations supporting payroll and operational workflows.
• Establish and maintain integration documentation standards, including technical design documents, data mappings, configuration guides, and operational runbooks.
• Support automation initiatives through Workday Extend or REST-based services that enhance payroll processing and reduce manual effort.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of the Workday data model and business processes, with demonstrated experience supporting Payroll integrations.

• Experience working in global payroll or payroll modernization initiatives, involving multiple countries, payroll calendars, vendors, or regulatory requirements, is highly preferred.
• Prior experience working in complex, global integration landscapes.

All About You:
• Ability to analyze existing integration landscapes and identify technical debt related to payroll accuracy, retroactivity, performance, scalability, and operational risk.
• Workday Integration or Studio certification preferred; Payroll certification or hands-on PECI/PECOF experience is a strong plus.
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with Payroll, HR, IT, Finance, and Security teams.
• Detail-oriented and structured, maintaining documentation, version control, and audit readiness for payroll-critical integrations.
• Curious and forward-looking—actively engages with Workday Community, monitors payroll-related releases, and proposes modernization opportunities.
