MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide executive-level administrative support to the Assistant Vice President of Nursing Operations & Patient Care Services (PCS). In this highly visible role, you'll partner with nursing leadership and multidisciplinary teams to help drive operational excellence and support initiatives that positively impact patient care across the hospital.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Administrative Assistant, you will:
- Support Executive Leadership by managing calendars, coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, recording meeting minutes, composing correspondence, and handling confidential administrative responsibilities.
- Coordinate Department Operations by organizing projects, maintaining records, preparing reports, processing payroll, assisting with budgets, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Nursing Operations department.
- Facilitate Communication by serving as a key point of contact for leaders, physicians, associates, vendors, and external partners while responding professionally to inquiries and coordinating information.
- Manage Data & Reporting by collecting, analyzing, and maintaining departmental data, preparing presentations and reports, tracking performance metrics, and maintaining accurate filing systems.
- Plan Meetings & Special Events by coordinating conferences, interviews, educational sessions, committee meetings, travel arrangements, and other departmental events while ensuring every detail is handled seamlessly.

Minimal Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
- Business coursework or administrative/secretarial training is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clerical or administrative office experience
- Experience in a hospital, healthcare, or ambulatory setting is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications in a Windows environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
This position has a hiring range of
USD $20.57 - USD $36.27 /Hr.
