Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Director Nursing Operations and Patient Care Services this position manages the operational and financial aspects of Perioperative Services including information systems. Directs and coordinates scheduling MIS and billing functions and is responsible for marketing and developing surgeon relations through efficient patient scheduling block scheduling and accurate management and information system support. Analyzes labor supply and capital budgets for Perioperative Services to ensure cost effective and efficient utilization of workforce and supplies. Works as an active and senior member of the OR Business unit by providing all necessary management information.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the operational, financial, scheduling, billing, and information systems functions for Perioperative Services, ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate billing, and effective use of resources.

  • Leads the development, monitoring, and analysis of capital, labor, and supply budgets; provides variance reporting, cost and volume analysis, and supports value analysis initiatives to drive cost-effective decision-making and product standardization.

  • Designs, administers, and delivers management information systems and reporting tools to support OR leadership, service line management, central sterile processing, and materials management.

  • Partners with Perioperative Services leadership to plan for current and future operational needs, improve service quality and efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.

  • Promotes staff development, teamwork, communication, and a positive work environment while resolving operational issues and conflicts through effective problem-solving.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or health care management required

  • Master's degree in health care administration, business administration, or related field preferred

  • 3–4 years of progressively responsible experience in a healthcare setting with direct involvement in surgical services or surgical business office management, including budgeting, OR/facility billing, and variance reporting

  • Ability to read write speak and comprehend English.
  • Solid computer skills to perform data entry and work with computerize clinical information systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with HIPAA policies on confidentiality

USD $71,843.00 - USD $135,907.00 /Yr.
